Alhambra Palace, Granada

Carmen Thyssen Museum

The artworks come from the private collection of Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza, gathered over thirty years by the renowned art collector. The 230 permanent pieces feature a majority of Andalusian themes and scenes from mainly 19th-century Spanish artists, and temporary exhibitions also feature the elite of 19th and 20th century Spanish artists. 

Casa Natal

The birthplace of Picasso is a monument to the life and work of Pablo Picasso and the headquarters to the Picasso Foundation. It’s an ideal visit to walk to after the Picasso Museum. You’ll see works from Picasso and his father  Jose Ruiz Blasco, as well as artefacts and mementos of Picasso family life. 

Contemporary Art Museum (CAC)

Known locally as CAC, this museum is internationally viewed as one of the most important modern art museums in Europe. It’s focus is on works from the 1950’s onwards including artists such as Lichtenstein and Stella.

Pompidou Malaga

This recently opened gallery is the first branch of the Pompidou outside of France. In line with the arresting appearance of the Pompidou Centre in Paris the Malaga Collection is housed in a large glass cube. The gallery houses work by Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Francis Bacon, Max Ernst, Sophie Calle and many more along with an ever changing choice of temporary exhibitions.
