Design Museum, London, London
The Design Museum is located on the Southern bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge in central London, England. The museum covers product, industrial, graphic, fashion and architectural design. It has the UK's only collection devoted exclusively to modern and contemporary design and architecture. It was founded in 1989
University and HE study groups are actively encouraged to visit the Museum, which unlike most in London does charge. Prebooking for self guided visits is essential, and you should allow 3 hours for your visit.
For FE students the Museum organises a series of hour long product evaluation workshops. Such workshops are very popular with College groups and it is recommended that you book a minimum of 12 weeks in advance.
Throughout 2013 a new exhibition will detail "Extraordinary stories about ordinary things". Discover key designs that have shaped the modern world and be inspired by this fascinating exhibition of memorable objects from the Design Museum Collection.
