Auschwitz / Birkenau Concentration Camps, Krakow
Experience one of the most memorable places in modern European history. The Auschwitz-Birkenau museum comprises the two preserved camps of Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II - Birkenau. The greyed photo of an old man, just off the train and being ushered to certain death by the SS soldier, is a searing image, among many in the museum.
The visit includes a film showing the camp’s liberation, the flower-strewn Death Wall, the national memorials, railway track and ramp and the remains of hundreds of barracks, all of which form a moving testament to the number of lives lost as a result of Nazi atrocities throughout occupied Europe. Coach and guide required, please contact FHT Group Tours for details and we will arrange this study visit as part of any educational trips to Krakow for History or R.E students.
