National Museum, Krakow
Centrally located, the National Museum was originally founded in 1879 and is the main branch of Poland's National Museum. It contains 11 galleries and almost 800,000 artefacts.
The Main Building houses the Gallery of Twentieth Century Polish Art with collections of paintings and sculptures, including extensive works by Stanislaw Wyspianski, Leon Wyczolkowski and Wlodzimierz Tetmajer, as well as the cubist and avant garde artists of the mid twentieth century.
