The Hermitage and Winter Palace, St. Petersburg

Part of the amazing Winter Palace and with around 3 million works and artefacts, there is probably no other museum in the world, with the exception of the Louvre, that rivals the Hermitage. Opened as a museum in 1917 and with origins dating back to Peter the Great who collected works during his travels abroad, this massive collection contains a large number of Italian Renaissance and French Impressionist works, as well as examples by Picasso, Rembrandt and Matisse.

The museum itself is also a spectacle in itself, with fine interiors and architectural details and is of such a size that many visitors come back time after time to see the whole collection. Please contact FHT for student group entance prices and details.

What our customers say

Kirsty was absolutely amazing throughout. She was able to arrange alternative flights and transport at short notice when we missed our booked flight.Nothing was too much trouble. It was thanks to her that our trip was able to take place at all. Outstanding service which we would be more than happy to recommend to others.
