Palazzo Ducale and Museum, Venice
Located just near San Marco Basilica, the magnificent Doge's Palace or Palazzo Ducale was built in the 9th century and represents a masterpiece of the Venetian Gothic architecture. It is therefore one of the most important aspects of any Art or Architecture study trip to this wonderful city.
The structure was enlarged during the intervening centuries until it's completion in 1438 and the museum houses several paintings by famous artists such as Tintoretto, Tiziano and Veronese.
