Freud Museum Tour and Discussion Sessions, London
'An illusion based on human wishes!’ Freud had strong view on religion and believed it to be an illusion based on what we want to be true rather than what is true. The Museum's education team is familiar with A-level the Religious studies specifications and can hold informative discussions that respond to the curricula. A visit here allows groups to learn more about Freud as they explore his former house and complete pre-set worksheets based on Freud’s religious views. The centrepiece of this museum is Freud's study, still preserved just as it was during his lifetime containing the most famous piece all, Freud's psychoanalytic couch. On Mondays and Tuesdays a guide will escort you around the museum and can provide your group with tailored discussion sessions based the worksheets.
Self-guided audio tours are available Wednesday-Sunday, which last around 90 minutes, (a guide can be requested subject to availability).
