DDR Museum, Berlin
Opened in 2006, The DDR Museum is an interactive museum in the centre of Berlin, right on the river Spree and opposite Berlin Cathedral. Its exhibition shows the daily life in East Germany in a direct "hands-on" way. Examples include a covert listening device ("bug") which gives visitors the sense of being "under surveillance".
