1)     Watch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace

The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace takes place on set days at around 11.30am, and is a great example of British pride and pageantry. The ceremony lasts around 45 minutes and is the process involved in a new guard exchanging duty with the old guard.

2)     Walk across the Millennium Bridge

To truly appreciate the beauty of London, take the time to walk across the Millennium Bridge, which links St Paul’s Cathedral on the north bank with the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe on the south bank. Walking over the bridge gives you incredible unimpaired views of the city.

3)     Explore Borough Market

Borough Market is one of the oldest, largest and most popular food markets in London. Open every day except Sundays, visitors can take revel in the hustle and bustle of this venue, and if you feel like treating yourself and have money to spend, sample some of the delicious treats on offer.

4)     Enjoy some public speaking at Speakers’ Corner

Speakers’ Corner is an area in Hyde Park where open-air public speaking, debate and discussion are allowed. People from all walks of life speak about just about anything you can imagine – you’re sure to learn something, or at least come away with an interesting anecdote to share!
