American Museum of Natural History, New York
The American Museum of Natural History is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, in large grounds opposite Central Park, and is one of the largest and most diverse museums in the world. The Museum comprises 25 interconnected buildings that house 46 permanent exhibition halls, research labs and its well renowned library.
The collections all told contain over 30 million specimens and have to display just a small percentage at any given time. They have a scientific staff of more than 200, sponsor many special field expeditions each year and have millions of visitors annually.
