The Pergamon Museum, Berlin
The Pergamon Museum is one of the largest archaeological museums in the World. Built between 1910 - 1930 it replaced a smaller building on the same site. One of the museum’s main highlights is the original frieze of the Pergamon Altar, which depicts the epic battle between the gods and giants and is one of the greatest artistic legacies of classical antiquity.
Please note the museums is undergoing a 5 year remodelling process and so it is not possible just to turn up, groups must be registered and booked in advance.
