Schindler's Trail, Krakow
Take your student group on a guided tour of Krakow, learning the history of the jewish quarter and visiting the site of the factory made famous by Oscar Schindler following his inspirational and daring rescue of over a thousand of his Jewish workforce.
The tour starts at Zgody Square – former centre of Krakow Ghetto where the Jews were relocated from their historical area of Kazimierz. The Square was the departure point of transports for concentration camps, a fact which is enhanced by the curious monument in the form of empty chairs. You will continue on to the pharmacy of Joseph Pankiewicz – "Apteka Pod Orlem" , and then to Schindler's Enamel Factory at 4 Lipowa Street to learn about the history and events that took place in WWII, as well as seeing the exhibition.
The tour can be combined with a coach trip to the tragic Plaszow concentration camp for a fuller excursion. Please contact FHT Group Tours today for details and prices and we will creat an enriching group trip to Krakow for your history students.
