Lenin's Mausoleum

Immediately after Lenin's death in 1924, a wooden mausoleum was originally erected on the square. In 1929, architect Aleksei Shchusev was commissioned to design a more lasting home for the body. The result, opened a year later, is the building your groups can visit and come face to face with one of the most influential leaders in Russia's history. Red Square

The Bolshoi Theatre began its life as the private theatre of the Moscow proseсutor Prince Pyotr Urusov.
