Czartoryski Museum

Founded in 1796 by Princess Izabela Czartoryska to preserve Poland’s heritage and relocated from Paris in 1876 after much turbulence,  The Czartoryski Museum features historical artefacts as well precious paintings, including Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci and the Good Samaritan by Rembrandt. Admission fees apply.

National Museum

Centrally located, the National Museum was originally founded in 1879 and is the main branch of Poland's National Museum. It contains 11 galleries and almost 800,000 artefacts. Sukiennice (Cloth Hall)

The Renaissance Cloth Hall, built in the 1550’s,  is one of the most iconic sights in Poland and is the central feature of the main market square.
