We also strive to deliver customer service excellence, now being the only educational tour operator to hold the Customer Service Excellence Award.

FHT is a full member of ABTA. ABTA is the UK’s largest travel association, representing travel agents and tour operators. ABTA’s code of conduct ensures that customers benefit from high standards of service, fair terms of trading, accurate information and simple complaint handling.


Our customers are financially protected through the ATOL scheme. If an ATOL protected travel company ceases trading, the scheme protects customers who have booked holidays with the firm. It ensures that you don’t get stranded abroad or lose your money.


We hold the Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge. It is the only nationally recognised indicator of good quality educational provision and effective risk management.

The award of the LOtC Quality Badge indicates that the provider understands schools’ needs and can tailor their offer to fit in with both current curriculum requirements and any specific requirements of the school.


As a full member of the School Travel Forum we adhere to a rigorous code of practice and safety management standards that meet the requirements of DFE guidelines and are externally verified each year.


We were awarded the Customer Service Excellence standard in 2015 and have continued to build on it each year.

Under the CSE framework we must demonstrate understanding our customers’ needs; that our staff consistently focuses on providing good customer services; and that the services themselves are high quality and easily accessed. We are currently the only educational tour operator to hold the Customer Service Excellence accreditation.
