The Bröhan Museum is devoted to Art Nouveau, Art Deco and functionalism.
It occupies a late-classicist former barracks in Charlottenburg, opposite Charlottenburg Palace. Rooms are organised into 'room ensembles', each housing examples of art, design and furniture from a particular phase in late 19th Century or early 20th Century art history.
Beautiful glassware, metalware and ceramics are showcased alongside period paintings, plus new temporary exhibitions based on connecting themes and ideas.
The overarching art collection also focuses on the Berlin Secession artist group, including key pieces from Hans Baluschek, Walter Leistikow, Lesser Ury and Karl Hagemeister.
