Sachsenhausen concentration camp is located just 35 km to the north of the city of Berlin and de rigueur.

The camp has been carefully preserved and serves as a memorial to what happened before and during the Second World War, as well as its history in the post war Cold War when the site was a special camp for the occupying Russian forces.

Guided tours in English are available to student groups if required. There is a museum, memorial hall and cinema where a film about the history of the camp is shown hourly, on the hour.

A poignant and moving reminder of the evils of the Nazi regime,  a visit to Sachsenhausen will resonate in the minds of your student group for many years to come.
