Explore The Story of Berlin on your university or college trip to Berlin.

The Story of Berlin illustrates 800 years of fascinating history in Berlin.

Storytelling takes place across twenty individually themed rooms where the 20th century is a particular focus; highlighting the two world wars, the Cold War, building the Berlin Wall, and eventual reunification in 1990.

A highlight of the exhibition is a tour of the museum's original fallout shelter located deep under Kurfürstendamm, the existence of which has remained largely unknown to the city's population despite its central location. The radiation protection area was built in the seventies on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany and is still functional, able to protect nearly 3600 people in the event of a nuclear disaster.

The multimedia presentation makes the tour especially suitable for students and educational groups.
