Fire Museum

Explore the Fire Museum on your university or college trip to New York.

The New York City Fire Museum is located in the former quarters of Engine 30 at New York City Fire Department.

The renovated 1904 fire station houses a fascinating museum, hosting 10,000 artefacts that celebrate the history of firefighting and the New York City Fire Department.

Examples of modern day firefighting equipment are on permanent display at the museum, as well as a memorial to the 343 members of New York City Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks.
