Originally built as a military fortress between 1780-90 and later becoming a prison, Terezin, the infamous WW2 labour camp, and adjoining Jewish Ghetto Town, is a popular and thought provoking visit for any student of History.
Often combined with Lidice to make a full day programme, a guided tour tells the history and depicts the dreadful events of the second World War as the camp was used by the Gestapo as a holding bay for those destined for Auschwitz/Birkenau among other death camps.
A memorial with a film projection can be visited and a coach is required so please contact us for details.
