Washington is home to the Whitehouse, U.S Capitol, Arlington Cemetery and The Pentagon, as well as iconic memorials to presidents and the victims of war. Washington has a wide range of visits available for students of Law and Politics that will open their eyes to how the country is run. The Library of Congress, US Capitol, Supreme Court and the Pentagon are all open and free for visitors. You can also choose to visit the White House Visitor Centre to complete the visit to Government buildings.

Your students can also go to the World Bank Visitor Centre, which showcases the World Bank Group’s efforts to end poverty and boost shared prosperity for the world’s poorest people. Guided tours can be arranged here and also a discussion with a World Bank Group expert on a specific subject matter, for example, economy, poverty, gender, private sector development.

Whilst in Washington a guided historical walking tour is recommended so that your students can see the numerous iconic memorials that park America's tumultuous past.
